This isn't a promise, it's enforced: the page's Content-Security-Policy only permits network connections back to this same origin, so your browser refuses anything else at the network layer, including from the PDF parser's background worker. Open DevTools, switch to the Network tab, drop a file, and watch nothing new appear there either. The list below is this page's own record of its main-thread requests, pulled from the Performance API rather than typed in as a claim; it won't show a worker's own requests, which is exactly why the DevTools Network tab is the complete check.
